I'm delighted to be invited by Carmen Milagro to her show WOMEN AND LEGENDS WHO REALLY ROCK to talk about my music, my GHP Radio Grammy nomination and also about two causes I'm involved in. Carmen's definition of 'really rock' is not just musically but relates to women who may have made a difference in their world in some way and although I'm not entirely sure that I have done this, I do quietly work to support a few things that I ardently believe in. Of course Carmen will be playing my music too and talking about my journey this far in the short time that I have been exploring the internet world with my own brand of blues. And of course we are bound to mention the GHP Radio Grammy nomination which thrilled me to bits! The show goes out at 10.30am PST - that's 12,30pm CST - 6.30pm UK time(that's Saturday 5.30am Sydney time!!) Hope you can listen! Here's the link...... http://www.blogtalkradio.com/carmen-milagro And later the same day............. I'm talking to Holly at Red Velvet Media about my music and my latest release You're A Liar which is still spotlighted on the Jazz Network Worldwide and featured on many radio stations. Last week's show included an item about a new book on John Lennon's life and of course this fascinating subject sort of took over the whole show, so Holly decided that I should have a whole show to myself this week. Holly works hard on her Arts and Media Resource Red Velvet Media "to fill needs in Educating the world on so many different issues and bring about an awareness in Music/Spirituality/World healing and Love for the human spirit..through kindness... ..." and in her own gentle and special way she is achieving so much!! I hope you will be able to come listen......... The show goes out at 2pm PST - that's 4pm CST and 10pm UK time (that's Saturday 9am Sydney time!) here's the link........ http://www.blogtalkradio.com/redvelvetmedia
This song was written during a memorable Christmas and I wanted the delivery and production
to be very simple and create a feeling of loneliness. I love the drums on this and also the
guitar, especially the outro. Piano and harmonic are me as if the vocal of course.
On Sunday Dec 20th I'm invited back to
The Musicians Social Club on blog talk radio
to talk to Leasa .........................

hold when I thought about what this season of giving should really be about - for me at least. And so Give Love For Christmas was written over the following weekend and has since been aired on many radio stations already - and received great reviews from radio hosts and music journalists - so now is the time to let it out into the world.............. I'm busy recording a Spanish version by request from radio in South America so I think people have already related to what the song says........ I hope you enjoy it!

What an adventure!! Adding my video of Macushlah here - just because I like it!!
Not blues it's true, but a song that I released a while back
and which has proved so popular with all those lovely people
who listen to my music. It says what I believe about life.
And it needed a video - so here it is!

Those very nice people at Cosmic Clouds Radio
who are part of the Global Thunda Network on the Australia Broadcasting network have decided to feature me for 2 weeks which is just wonderful!!!!
Big big thankyou to Lynda-Lee there and to all the team for putting my feature on the page and playing my music at this link:

the music they are playing is on my page here and also on my myspace pages

Can't Leave You Alone was the first song I ever released just under a year ago although
I have been writing and performing music almost my entire life.
I wanted to try and create a simple video myself and so it seemed right that it should
be this song.

I love this track! I wanted to create a driving rhythm with relentless drums and Phil - you did it for me!
Then I added the sax and I wanted it all to have a feeling of being carried away and down..........
This track started life in my head as a purely accoustic, just piano, song and developed
into a bigger production when I experimented with adding the sax part - and then
the distinctive drums for which I thank my very good friend Phil.
Again this song was written over one weekend - in a hotel room - and I couldn't wait to get home to my piano to play and sing it. I love the organ on the track and I particularly like also the bridge - it says everything I really wanted to say at that time.
This is a more recently released track and was a song conceived and written over one
weekend, couldn't wait to play it, record it and sing it! Someone said to me that it is
heartrendingly passionate - all I can say is I meant every word of it!!
Some weeks ago, I was asked by an online
magazine to put together my thoughts as
to how I had arrived at where I am musically
and what influences had counted most on
that journey.
Difficult one!! Writing about myself I do not
find at all easy, so I simply sat down and wrote
from the heart.
It made me realise what a long journey it has
been for me and it also gave me the chance
to thank so many people who have been
and still are supportive and helpful in all sorts
of ways in promoting my music.
I was told today that my article forms the
feature in the ArtseesDiner magazine's
OpenMic Night feature for August -with
a preface by the editor which I found
humbling and a bit overwhelming.
I only ever wanted to be heard, that's all
so getting attention like this for my music
is just wonderful; entirely wonderful.
I hope you might take the time to go read the
article..........
